    Description

    Le cours d’optique quantique et de nanophotonique est dispensé en deux demi-semestres.

    Le premier semestre est consacré à donner un aperçu des principales réalisations en nanophotonique. En revisitant les bases de l’interaction lumière-matière dans la matière condensée, nous explorerons à la fois les résultats de recherche fondamentale récents ainsi que les développements technologiques en nanoscience et en photonique. Une large place est faite à la discussion de résultats expérimentaux fondateurs.

    Liste indicative des domaines abordés en nanophotonique :

    • l’interaction lumière-matière en matière condensée (excitons, polaritons, plasmons...)
    • les techniques spectroscopiques
    • la plasmonique
    • les nanostructures de semiconducteurs : diodes, lasers, lasers à cascade quantique
    • micro-résonateurs optiques et photonique quantique
    • les nouveaux matériaux bi-dimensionnels (graphène, dichalcogénures de métaux de transition,…)

    Le second semestre est consacré à une introduction à l’optique quantique et aux avancées majeures dans la manipulation et la détection des états quantiques de la lumière.

    Liste indicative de sujets en optique quantique :

    • Principes fondamentaux: quantification, états quantiques, matrice de densité et mesures
    • Photo-détection, comptage de photons et variables continues
    • Optique non linéaire, implémentation expérimentale, intrication : états et protocoles
    • Réduction du bruit, mesure QND et métrologie quantique
    • fonction Wigner et représentation d’état
    • boson sampling

    Les cours sont donnés par Christophe Voisin (Nanophotonique), Nicolas Treps (Optique quantique) par Emmanuel Baudin (TDs)
